She has been featured on the Dr. Oz Show, Black Shopping Channel, endless publications, and various fashion weeks. How could you not be inspired?! Her latest endeavors include "A Witty Self Help Novel," titled Dear God, Are We There Yet? and I'm certain we could all use it! Its launch was yesterday, August 8, 2017, in addition to a virtual book tour! Keep reading for a glimpse into this novel.

Dear God, Are We There Yet?

Message to the readers: How many times in your life have you found yourself wondering where you are going in life? What are you supposed to do when you get there? How are you going to get there? "Dear God are we there yet?" That was my question. I realized the answer to our personal questions can most often be found by looking within when we find that we have complete access to this part of us.

Book Excerpt: When is it my turn?

Since we no longer listen to our instincts as much as we should, we are being corralled into a false moral standard. We are suppressing our natural instincts to a degree of total estrangement. Its suppression results in tension and anxiety, which leads to many neurotic personality disorders. What would happen if we tried to make a rat think it was a dog? We could give it a leash and take it for walks, but at the end of the day, we are forcing it to go against its true nature. rats are clever little beasts, and they can most certainly, but just like any other animal, they will always rely solely on their instincts. Not being allowed to follow our own instincts causes us to eventually trust the opinion of others over our own.

What causes these tendencies? Where do they come from? What makes us human? Aristotle made some of the most famous statements about human nature. He said that man is a conjugal animal meaning that we are born to couple as an adult and build a household or clan. We are political, dividing labor and settling down rules and laws in order to develop into cities or towns. Humans are mimetic; we love to use our imaginations, but also like seeing a likeness in something is how we learn. The is no limit to what we can achieve as humans, but we are responsible for our own achievements and setbacks. Only we can decide which route to take.
